Timber supplies triple in Thanet

 Recognising that their customers, trade and individuals alike, often purchased heavyside products such as bricks and brocks, but then went elsewhere for timber, Chandlers is expanding its product portfolio to meet a shift in demand.

The expansion in stock means Chandlers’ extensive range will now include skirtings, matchings, planed square edge and mouldings.

The new range means Chandlers is able to cater for a broad spectrum of requirements from developers who require a direct-to-site delivery of roof trusses through to building contractors who have specific planed timber requirements.

John Rose, Branch Manager at Chandlers in Thanet, said, “We had about twenty lines in stock of planed timber products which was far too few so as of Monday we will have over sixty.

“Timber is being increasingly consumed as people move towards sustainable building so it is important that we recognise the needs of our customers and providing choice is essential in ensuring that all customers get the right product for the job.”
