Chandlers Build for the Future
Petworth based builders merchants, Chandlers Building Supplies, recently donated a selection of materials to Kaleidoscope Pre-School, Petworth, to enable to school fulfil its ambition of creating a nature garden that can be enjoyed by the staff and pupils.
The donation of landscaping materials which included, two tonnes of top soil and 10 bags of cement, will help Kaleidoscope on its way to creating a stimulating environmentally friendly outdoor space. The children will be able to watch plants and trees grow and experience the way in which the garden supports the nature and wildlife around them.
Steven Webber, Petworth Branch Manager commented: “We were delighted to be able support Kaleidoscope with the construction of their nature garden through the donation of building materials. Giving back to the local community is always something we strive for and we hope that children and staff alike are able to enjoy the garden for years to come.”
The project is still in progress and is due for completion next spring. Although still in the early stages, Kaleidoscope has already completed an accessibility ramp from the outside of the building to the garden, giving the garden greater access.
